*many rasing of eyebrows* Well well WELL, didn’t expect to see Callum so soon.
Wait, Callum has bought stuff from Ember, compltely offscreen? Do they even recognize each other?
No, as they never met. Ember kept her distance from the patrol when she found Bernin, because Sil would’ve detected her if she got too close.
The current comic suggests otherwise-
“Didnt she talk to you, Callum? What’s she like?”
Never mind, I’m misremembering who Callum was.
As nice as it is to see Ariah, Keine, and Loki, but I do wonder: Echo was here originally to raid the town… I assumed that everyone else were all back in Brairwood with Lupa. So was their original intentions here… malicious? I doubt they were here expecting to run into Ember, so it is concerning what they have picked up living with Lupa. I was assuming Echo was doing the all of the raiding on villages for sacrifices to shield the others from getting their hands bloody. If they all are in on raiding lightly guarded towns – it kind of …darkens their innocent image when we first met them way back. Also maybe we’ll get a better insight why Cole decided not to stay in Lupa’s pack.
Though Ember wouldn’t recognize Callum, but if Bernin really told Cormac, Sil and Callum about everything, mention of Ember and her blue fur may have at the very lease raised an eyebrow when Callum first met with her. Even if he has no idea right now, assuming Gen drags Callum to be his wing-man and they strike up a conversation with Ember, Echo, and the others as soon as someone mentions they are from Brairwood, he might just start putting all the pieces together. In addition the chances of Bernin’s name being mentioned is highly likely to happen. So as soon as that happens Callum should definitely figure out who Ember is.
They could have been looking for her. For all we know this could be days later and Echo already told them all about their chance meeting.
Bernin didn’t strike me as the talkative type to be telling his squad all about his upbringing and friends.
I kind of doubt it, maybe running into Ember was just one of their goals. As when Ember suggested to Echo was here to attack the town he mention to himself “Not anymore” (http://w0lfmare.xepher.net/comic/bloodline-300) which indicates he was planning some kind of raid, but is having second thoughts about it now.
Well after Bernin and the others recovered from their battle against Veera, Cormac did want Bernin to tell them what that was all about so they can better handle it in the future. We don’t know what exactly Bernin said, but he did say he was going to tell them everything, and Callum was present as well. (http://w0lfmare.xepher.net/comic/bloodline-212) So if we take his words for it he did tell them everything. As for Callum, he probably isn’t really actively looking for Ember, Cole, etc, but if enough names are mentioned somethings might start clicking for him.
Great to see these guys again! =D Esp… uh… green girl. *checks character page* Ariah. XD;
