Well Ember is going to have to break the news to them that she will not be coming back. Though it’s going to be hard being the bearer of bad news, but if that is what Ember truly desires she is going to have to be truthful to them.
And just like that Gen has lost interest in Ember (I assume). I didn’t expect him and Ember to really have a relationship even if it becomes one sided. This is probably for the best as Ember doesn’t seem to be wanting to settle down any time soon anyways. Hopefully Gen’s disdain for ferals isn’t too bad. Though if he still is interested in Ember he might provided some unwanted intervention when Ember says she doesn’t want to go back to Brairwood with them.
I wonder is Ariah taken notice of Callum because his wound requires Nature magic to heal? As we did last see way back in chapter 1 Araih does seem to have nature magic affinity which is difficult to come by. How much did she progress in her magic capabilities since we last saw her? Or Ariah just taken interest in Callum, doubtful as I don’t see Araih as a love in first sight. Perhaps it’s more curiosity as I assume they don’t interact with Tennins too much.
Ariah gives such a happy wholesome vibe, I hope Ember doesn’t chase her old family away.
And yes, these ferals are more like family than Ember’s demonic dad ever was.

Still, what is left is “_IS GU OKAY?” There appears to be no character to represent a “Y” in “GUY,” and to fill in the blank to get “THIS,” one must assume that the Runic character there stands in for “th” (hard to do, as this character combo also appears nowhere else, and usually two-english-letter Runic characters are three symbols long). Nonetheless, given Ember’s response, Keine’s question is likely at least similar as I’ve interpreted.
