Oh yeah, I forgot that Callum was assigned to Nin and Ariah healed his arm. He’s sure in over his head now. If Risaac is there then even overcoming the fiend won’t be enough. I’m holding out hope that her friend the thirsty tower guard from page 370 will come to the rescue. Just look at that armor, he’s got the best gear of anyone in town. That’s got to count for something, right?
I wonder where is Callum’s current unit? Perhaps all dead? I though him seeing Gale being killed was the worse of it; if this fiend got to them it would have been more of a bloody scene.
That guard did have some good gear, but a bit too lax. I feel that guard is probably ready for a demon feral or two, but a creature like that? Unless he is packing some well enchanted gear which I kind of doubt being a garrison member – he might not have stood much of a chance. Who knows maybe he could still be alive hold up in somewhere in the town like Callum.
