I discovered your comic quite a while ago and recently got back into it. Here is a question I have been wondering about. Why did Ember never go to see Lawrie in Tith like Ahrem instructed? I think that she was planning to go to Tith after Tenguard but then decided not to after what happened in Tenguard but the comic never made it clear.
Honestly that’s a part of the story I intend on cutting/rewriting soon. I basically changed my mind on the direction that I wanted the story to go, and that’s why that point in the story is so weak. Webcomics are a living medium and I should have been a little more open to going back and doing some editorial fixes.
Never be afraid to rewrite pages! 😁 Just maybe leave a note about the edit and/or a link to the old page so when current readers (with semi decent memories) go back to reread, they don’t feel like they’re going crazy. 🤪
The biggest bottleneck and issue with rewrites is that they consume a huge amount of time to do for a solitary author.
Understandable, though w0lfmare’s comment left me feeling as though there were other hesitations behind doing it than just time.
Interesting… Ember is carrying an enchanted dagger. I wonder was it for exactly this of running into her father. As we recall normal items do not affect him as he is a shade only items with some magical enchantments like the book she used way back then.
I’m unclear if the dagger is even hers. I think the first time we see it is when she picks it up off the ground after one of the fiends gave her a bit of a thrashing.
Don’t give into temptation, Ember. It’s exactly what your father wants you to do because once you give into temptation, he’s got you exactly where he wants you and he won’t let you go (at least not alive).
Is Flint naturally black/gray or is it a result of turning demon?
Well, i reread all of the comic this past night, had not checked in on things for several years now. Crazy to see how far it has come, i recall back when chapter 1 was still in progress how things would turn out.
A lot has happened over the years!
