There’s a lot of dialogue that I wanted to fit on this page, draft after draft. But I think it wouldn’t have worked if I crammed what I could in. All I can do is trust my readers. And with time, we will explore more of what Ember is thinking about this moment, and what it means to her.
In the meantime, theorize away! Enjoy.

No red eyes interesting. So not demon magic or at least it is probably a mix of her own and the demon magic within her.
Yeah, she does seem to have a glow to her eyes, but of a color closer to that of the new text.

I do wonder what any nearby magic users/readers are detecting right now as she is doing this. I also wonder if this is a manifestation of her own magic, or just an ability to do something about the magic of the fiend attacking her.
The breakthrough Ember needed but is it a permanent or temporary truce between her magics? If temporary, can she at least learn something from it? Kaylia is seeing this but is anyone else close enough to witness the end of this fight? Ember has no mercy for these monsters other than a quick end. Are there any others or just these two?
Is the monster’s energy destroyed or absorbed?
My guess is destroyed based on the second to last panel where it’s shattering off from her hand.
On the previous page, I thought it was the possessor who was talking in the last panel. Now, I see it’s Ember who was talking. I like that little trick.
Mercy?
After you’ve scrubbed all the floors in Hyrule, then we can talk about mercy.
Interesting, from dialogue and what we are seeing making peace between Ember’s two selfs has pulled the floor from under the Fiends proverbial feet and allowed it to fall into her magic sucking soul.
Still wondering if that is going to have side effects or cause changes later on. But at least thats one Fiend down
Also looks like the bleeding has either slowed down or stopped and her symbols on her arm are a bit more charged. I wonder if that’s an indication that Ember might have a healing factor and might have a permanent magic suction effect and symbols on her arm now?
