Ember was wrong. Taking the magic out of the fiend and into her did not destroy it. Elane’s spell is dangerous, and was only meant to be used on spells that rigidly harm one target person. Not on fiends that inhabit flesh indiscriminately…

Huh, but I noticed it didn’t mention Ember’s Voice or her unusual soul that eats magic.
Sounds like a certain Fiend hasn’t gotten to the center of their Ember right now. It might not be as pleased with its new body when it encounters either.

So… for all this demons bragging, his whole being doesn’t seem to have enough mana to fully cover her arm just yet. Either Ember has a lot more capacity for mana than he had stockpiled, or he is barely attached. Either way he will be in for a surprise when he reaches her core, or at least the wards around her core
Ember fiend fusion? She was willing to risk her own life but this is potentially much worse. I think maybe the fiend mistakes her courage defending Kaylia for weakness, though.
