Lupa’s is perhaps the only place to welcome Ember for who she is. One problem is Ember might not agree with their way of life, maybe she can sway them away from sacrifices Lupa needs to maintain her power, but without those sacrifices she’ll become a target for rival Demons if her power wanes. Ember has already said she doesn’t want to live with the regret of giving up and not finding the answers she wants.
Even if Ember stays with Lupa she’ll still be a target. If Lupa wasn’t there to stop Risaac, he would’ve did some terrible things to Keine, and Ariah. He seemed not to care who Keine and Ariah are. If they can’t get Ember by force they may try other means to lure her away from Lupa like they did with Cole.
Lupa doesn’t DO sacrifices if I remember correctly
I didn’t see anything saying she doesn’t, but there are other ways of getting power other then Flint’s method. That amulet she has was said by Ember to be very powerful. Perhaps that is the source of her power? It would be a problem if all demons got power Flint’s way, so undergo heavy training is a possibility, and being the guard of the border in Briairwood give her ample opponents to test her skills against; as well as possible sacrifices if she does go that route. So maybe she does maybe she doesn’t both avenues are possible.
I just noticed something about Ember. Almost every time I see her, she’s holding her abdomen like she’s pregnant.
