Which path would be a better life for Ember? Lupa’s pack, or Nayah’s Valley? food for thought.
In other news, I’ve finally found a replacement for Project Wonderful! If you look to the right you’ll see an ad for another webcomic. Nobody likes ads generally, but these are helping the right people. Me and other webcomic artists (and you, if you’re interested in seeing new comics). Please support Comicad Network with me. I want to see other webcomics, not Google echoing my Amazon search history.
“My worst fear is that you’d be my enemy” “Then take our side and don’t be our enemy”
I’d click on the ad, if it weren’t already on my comic list.
Nayah’s valley has roofs, and under those roofs they have books. Lupa’s pack has long walks in the rain.
Sorry Echo, but you should go looking for princesses in other castles.
It seems Ember is completely unaware what Echo really does. I’m assuming Ember pictures him as the ideal big brother to Loki, Keine, Aria. Part of the paint seems to have already chipped when he mention he is involved with Tennin if they come into Brairwood. I am pretty sure his backpedal from raiding this town is not known to Ember as she has no way of know he was planning to do so at the start. So that kind of save face for him a bit. Still Ember doesn’t really have any friends, sure there was that one Tennin that seemed to like her we saw briefly, but Ember may barley know him. So Even with Echo’s questionable actions she probably doesn’t want to push him away as she pretty much would have no one else.
However, if Ember decides to stay with Lupa, and inevitably Echo goes on a raid it will all fall apart. I do not think Echo will suddenly just stop doing raids just because Ember is there. He will probably just hide it from her, and one day when a Tennin family will comes in Brairwood poorly armed and seeking revenge for the lost loved ones, and to confront Echo they would probably get massacred by either him or Lupa right in front of Ember in which Ember will just lose it. But this is a hypothetical scenario. …In fact how many of these Tennins wandering into Brairwood are families foolishly blinded by vengeance for their loss because of raids Echo has been a part of?
I’m sure Ember is thinking following Echo isn’t something she wants, but it also all she may have. She hasn’t seen a true friendly face in years after all. Though if Ember does decide to go with Echo does that mean the raid is back on? He probably would call it off if Ember is caught in the crossfire but if she is no longer in the way… The fate of this town might be in the hands of Ember depending on if she chooses to go with Echo or not. Well at least she isn’t aware of this … I think.
Keep negotiating, Echo. Maybe you can get Ember to agree to help you beat up the guy in town that shared a bowl of soup with her before heading off to the forest. She can tell him she has to do it for the trees.
