Always a pleasure to see Lupa again! Perhaps we’ll get to see her in the flesh later.

Yay mention of Cole! So he isn’t stuck with Flint after all. Cole did set his sights on leaving Briarwood as well. I’m assuming he probably went with a group of demons that leaves the borders. I assumed Cole did tell Echo and the others why he decided not to stay with Lupa’s pack; so I assume that should’ve shed some light oh Ember’s reasons as well… maybe.
So Lupa decided to cut all ties with Flint? I wonder how that conversation went. I don’t think Flint would’ve just let Lupa take Cole away unless she had some kind of leverage on him. Perhaps a fight broke out and Lupa defeated Flint badly which brought doubts in the Memeelis line; thus causing some other like Kence to declare the bloodline has weaken so he hide behind that reason as so he can achieve his awakening.
I hope we get to see Coles group soon. It would be very interesting to see what goals and aspirations demons have… other then murder, death, sacrifice… those typical things we’ve seen with Flint, and others so far. I wonder will we see where these demon ferals the patrols cut down come from assume we get to see Cole’s story. Perhaps they travel in Feral’s villages as they seem to be influenced by demons quite a bit. Though not all are fond of demons like when Ember almost got attack at the gate in Tenguard.
The last time we saw Cole he was unconscious and on fire. He talked like he had fully embraced his demon blood, which probably would have made it difficult to fit in with Lupa’s pack.
With their power coming from a specific god, each with its own agenda, they must be prone to conflict anytime two powerful individuals of different denominations come together. If magic as they know it is fading in their world then it could actually make it easier for a more diverse group like Lupa’s pack to get along.
