Ah, plot progression. Beautiful plot progression.
It’s weird drawing anything remotely romantic in the comic. I’m use to working with a cast full of children XD
It won’t be that way forever though, since the cast is growing older in the comic.
New incentive is up! [Link]
teh heheheheheheheheheheheheheheeee…
I thought that they were trying to keep it professional. Does this mean that the patrol has ended? Or perhaps it was a moment of indiscretion? Or maybe things were a bit closer between them than they previously advertised? Maybe he was just helping her to sit up?
I do feel a bit wary about people making major relationship decisions when not of an entirely clear mind, and the aftermath of a desperate battle seems like an emotionally tumultuous time… But still, they have known each other for a long time and I trust them not to do anything foolish, and have to accept that follies occur…
So what will Bernin say?
He surely won;t be giving them his whole life story, even though the whole thing is pretty much relevant. From being trained in blood rituals to the ruins his home dwelt with to Lupa’s pack and their unclear state of demonicness to his knowledge of living in the woods to… Well, his whole life is relevant to knowing the forces of audible shadow that might bear interest in him…
He is likely to be cagey, nobody likes to tell demon hunters that their whole family are demons. That is the sort of thing that sends assassins to your home and pyres to your feet, and Bernin really wanted to be the one to assassinate his father!
Then there is the question of what it means to his siblings. Cole seems full demon, so is currently on the “kill on sight or rumour” list, so any change is likely to be positive, except that the forces of purging might learn where he lives…
Ember is sort of relying upon people generally not knowing that she exists. It is difficult to go unnoticed if the whole world knows that a blue demonic dinosaur is on the loose and may have an evil glove that can turn innocent, pure, Tennin babies into merciless flesh-eating demons just by pointing at them… Although she seems to have already blown her cover…
I was going to say that Flint might be in trouble if they find out that he is specifically a shade. Something like that could turn the tables on even a quite dangerous group if they were not prepared. But I don;t think that Bernin actually knows that flint is a shade. It seemed like a surprised to Ember at least…
I think I’m missing something, I can’t follow the progression between the last comic and this one.
I take it that Bernin noticed the nurses’ reaction to Cormic, and was curious.
Cormac felt the need to explain himself, since Bernin noticed his strange reaction.
Ah, I couldn’t tell it was a flashback, I was so confused >_<
If he has to say something he can take Cormac to the side to just tell him so Callum, and Sil won’t know. As the leader of the group Cormac would know that this information can really be bad if it starts spreading around.
With Cormac and Sil just about to get romantic can we use this as a sign that Gale is still alive? Since Bernin has been out for three days we can assume Sil was a patient for 1 – 2 days. Which at least to me is kind of weird that you would be getting romantic while morning a death of a comrade so soon.
Of course, Gale wasn’t the nicest member of the group, and he could be even less liked the Bernin who was intentionally being distant to everyone. However, like Gale’s Bio said when a patrol goes well he does get along with everyone.
Now that I mention it, assuming Gale is alive at least he isn’t around to hear this from Bernin, and hopefully the other will know that telling this to Gale would be a really bad idea.
