I know that the red eyes are comming, she nullified her seal and the demon side was pretty piss off so im sure she will take over.
Welp, if Ember gets out of this, that’s one set of clothes that is either ruined or will have a need of serious mending. All those teeth in it’s maw probably won’t be too kind to Ember’s clothes, let alone what is on the way and in it’s stomach, if it manages to fully swallow her.
Well now that is a real bind. if anything this could be the breakpoint where Ember is desperate enough to unblock the demon blood in her. This is after all might be a life or death situation after all and those are when people get desperate. Unless Callum or some member of the guard/strike team is around to pull her out Ember might not have a choice. Then again perhaps Risaac might be stalking around and will rescue her… for a “price”.
Or it could be a trigger to show exactly what is up with her soul eating her own magic. I mean all that energy has to be somewhere that her soul is devouring. And to a certain extent, I’ve been wondering if Ember’s soul could be the equivalent of an egg that has yet to hatch, and Ember is hiding a big secret in her soul.
I was re-reading the comic from the beginning – looking for the dagger, of course – and I saw the part where General Jonar says he will put Ember to death if she becomes a danger to the Tennin. When they realize that the slaughter at Nin is connected to Risaac and Kence’s interest in Ember, she may not be able to return to them. Then Lupa’s misgivings will be confirmed.
I’m also impressed by how well the story ties together in hindsight. And Reader Denere is another cool character that we don’t get to see much.
I wounder if Ember will eat the magic in the fiend, get rescued by someone else or will her demon take over.
I suppose a demon could show up and order the Fiend to capture not eat.
